Our gynSurgery team consists of six female surgeons: Dr. med. Tatjana Thum, Dr. med. Claudia S. Hutzli Schaltegger, Gudrun Mehring, Dr. med. Bettina von Seefried,
Dr. med. Juliette Schmid-Lossberg and PD Dr. med. Gabriela Amstad, IBCLC. As experienced gynaecological surgeons, we work at various affiliated clinics and offer comprehensive care for upcoming operations. Sophie Filippou supports the team as Senior MPA Organization.

Operative Procedures

We operate on patients of all insurance classes on both an outpatient and inpatient basis. Depending on the procedure, the individual diagnosis and personal circumstances, many operations can be safely performed on an outpatient basis.

The most common surgical procedures include

Inpatient procedures with surgical care

For more complex procedures, treatment is provided on an inpatient basis. Our patients receive personal and comprehensive care from the indication for surgery through to full recovery.

This includes, among others

Breast surgery for the treatment of benign and malignant breast conditions, including lymph node removal
Abdominal surgery involving the ovaries and uterus, predominantly performed using minimally invasive (laparoscopic) techniques or, if required, open surgery
Myoma treatments as a tissue-sparing therapy using the Sonata system
Surgical procedures for vaginal prolapse and pelvic floor weakness with correction performed via the vaginal approach

Our aim is to ensure that every patient receives personalised and sensitive care that meets the highest medical standards. In this respect, we also proudly fulfil the SBC's 10-point programme.

We are also happy to be available to our referring physicians as a partner for operations. As a patient, you remain with your usual doctor and are treated by us during your hospitalisation and for the operation.
